We open overgrown lots, trails and fence lines by shredding underbrush, privet and suitable young trees. Our compact track loader carries a drum mulching head and works around marked trees. The processed material stays on-site as mulch, while buried roots remain.
A good fit for brushy lots, walking trails and selective clearing.
Mulch underbrush, woody shrubs and suitable small trees.
Assess stems up to 7 inches for the actual machine and site.
Leave mulch on-site; buried roots stay in the ground.
The customer wanted to open up 2 acres of wooded area. We mulched dense underbrush and smaller trees while keeping the marked trees. The cut material stayed on the ground as mulch, leaving the area easier to walk and maintain.

How Our Mulching Process Works
We use a forestry-equipped compact track loader with a drum mulching attachment. After marking trees and clearing limits, we work through the brush in controlled passes. Suitable stems around 5–7 inches need a machine and site check. The shredded material stays as ground cover.
Privet and Woody Regrowth in East Alabama
Chinese privet can form thick understory around Auburn, alongside young pine and sweetgum regrowth. Suitable stems up to 7 inches are assessed for the actual machine, wood and access. Privet can sprout again from living roots, so one mulching pass does not guarantee permanent control.
Land Clearing Questions, Clear Answers.
Does forestry mulching remove buried roots?+
No. The mulching head processes suitable above-ground growth into mulch. Buried roots and large root balls remain. For a driveway or building footprint, ask about separate stump and root work.
Will privet grow back after mulching?+
It can. Chinese privet can sprout from roots and stumps left alive after cutting. Seeds can also arrive from nearby plants. We discuss follow-up maintenance; one mowing or mulching pass is not a promise of permanent control.
Can you keep selected oak and pine trees?+
Yes. We mark retained trees before cutting and plan equipment routes around their roots. Grade changes, debris piles and equipment traffic can damage a tree even when the trunk stays. Clearing limits and the trees you want to keep belong in the plan.
